What I do... Part 2... My Services...
In my earlier post ‘What I do... Part 1... Why clients hire me...’ I told you that in the main my clients hire me to help them because I sell something unusual in this game, I sell trust.
My clients want more candidates and they want to trust that I can help get them. It’s not always quite that black and white as what my clients really want, is a connection, which leads to an interaction which leads to engagement which leads to a hire.
So whilst that previous post explained what I do fairly holistically I have started to further define the services I can help organisations with. I have added a section to my website cunningly titled ‘Services’.
I know, I was proud of that as well.
You will also notice a subtle tweak to my LinkedIn profile. For years I have talked in terms of me vs. mckinleyresource my business. I have finally woken up to the fact that people are buying me and not the company, so I may as well trade as me, rather than in the third person.
I will still be able to provide interim recruiters via my business, still sell external vendors services as part of an overall sourcing service and continue to sell my time directly.
When you do get over to my website you will see that I have organised my services into three broad service offerings. For me recruitment has never been simple and bundling services too tightly will potentially mean I will miss some of the things I can help people with. (If you can't see what you are looking for - ask!).
In broad terms my ‘Services’ are:
- People - Selling my time, firefighting for your talent acquisition team and providing Recruitment and HR professionals on an interim basis
- Consulting - Helping organisations to recruit more effectively by reviewing what happens today and making it better, implementing an agile recruitment approach
- Employer Brand & Candidate Experience - An agnostic approach that helps organisations of any size make tangible plans to improve the engagement they have with current and future employees
My recruitment experience is supported by my years as a people manager, directly managing teams up to c45 people, the management of strategic clients and the associated P&L.

I have a background in executive search and selection, headhunting and senior level recruitment combined with people and business management experiences.
