It’s a tough time for recruitment businesses in the UK (no matter what some might say!) and as an industry we need to specialise, diversify and generally ensure that we are adding value to all of the relationships we have.  Now for some of the big players this is a challenge.  When things were going well they could throw enough CV’s at their clients that it didn’t matter too much on the quality, whether the candidate was a good match to the requirements or if the whole experience was enjoyable for everyone involved.  Now things are tough, clients are pushing back.  They don’t want to filter masses of CV’s they want well qualified, experienced and appropriate candidates that will join their organisation, help it grow, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction and stay to make the company successful.

So this is where I come in.

I am taking mckinley|resource (http://www.mckinleyresource.com) up the value chain with the launch of my new proposition called i-trait™.  Think of it as a talent acquisition methodology that builds on our existing service led, professional approach to senior level recruitment combined with a comprehensive assessment of candidates that can tell how a candidate will perform in the future not just how they performed in the past.

If you are a client, this is good news.  I will give you candidates that have been assessed fully on their CV experience, their personality their motivation and whether they can do a good job for you and in the future.

If you are a candidate, this is good news.  I will assess you completely.  If you are a good match for the role in question it means you are a really good match and will want the job, or more importantly will want the job and the organisation both today and in the future.  If you are not a good match for the role in question then that is ok as well.  It won’t be my personal opinion but based on some robust science.  It means we can work together to find a role that is a good match.

Press release next week, slide show on my linkedin profile after that.

Remember, i-trait™ you heard it here first.
